Summer Reading!

With the school year coming to a close, start your children's Summer Reading List with the beloved book, The Doll's House by Rumor Godden, illustrated by the wonderful Tasha Tudor (who herself had a remarkable dollhouse!). It was my mum introducing me to this delightful story that started my passion and fantasy with miniatures. Literature and miniatures go hand in hand. So many of us create miniatures inspired by literature. There are many wonderful children's and young adult's examples of books with the theme of dollhouses. The list is endless: The Borrower's, The Doll People, Secrets In the Attic......etc. Light the passion in a young one this summer!
