As the temperature reaches -6 here, I needed a little whimsy to get out of the impending winter doldrums! It is inspirational how different artists take their miniature talent, into what are really new world's of fantasy! This is incredible. American artist Willard Wigan creates miniature sculptures using pinheads or needle eyes as media. This micro-sculptor uses grains of rice or grains of sugar as a material for creating these minute pieces. His sculptures are barely visible with the naked eye and require a microscope to see their astonishing detail. So my MINI friends, when you start to think of you miniatures as being small, think again!! **I
am happy to note your correction that Wigan is a British artist, not
American as I stated. I did know that; I have no clue why I typed it
incorrectly! ;) a thank you as well for showing me my posts are being read! Apologies Mr. Wigan. ~judy

Hello Judy,
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing. I would go crazy trying to work in such a small scale.
Big hug,
