Carter Dollhouse

And we are off and running into our Holiday MINI series (don't worry I have not forgotten it is Thanksgiving week, stay tuned!) Amy Carter, daughter of President Jimmy Carter, enjoyed dollhouses. Most notable is the large Victorian house she helped her mother set up as part of the public White House Christmas display in 1979.
In 2011 the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library & Museum in Atlanta, GA, recreated the 1980 White House Christmas Tree. Dolls, doll houses, and toys decorated the Victorian-style tree. Amy Carter recalled her dollhouse in an NBC documentary called 'First Families'. Remember MINI friends show your love for my series by visiting my complete online Dollhouse and Miniature site! I strive to share the entire scope of our beloved hobby with you! ~ judy www.justminiaturescale.com
